The St. Joseph Mustangs Reading Program is a free program for area elementary schools to encourage and reward students for reading. The Mustangs have extended the deadline to Wednesday, April 15th, 2020. Previously, the deadline was March 24th, 2020.
This free program is designed to encourage area elementary students to read a minimum of ten grade level books, and receive prizes from the Mustangs and area businesses.
"Typically, students participate through their teachers and schools. However, with the extended break, we want to allow students and families to participate individually. However, we want to encourage students to continue to read while they're away from school with the extended breaks we are experiencing. Parents can print off the forms, have their children fill them out as they read, and turn them in directly to the Mustang. Parents can also fill out the forms online. They'll earn a free ticket to Mustangs Opening Day, on May 27th, for every ten books they read, in addition to a prize package from some of our great community partners," said Ky Turner, Mustangs General Manage
